Have you tried cutting out certain foods? If it's intermittent it's probably an intolerance. Horrible not to feel safe bowel-wise when you're out and about.
The other thing to try is buscopan each day as directed on the packet. I find it helps a lot with my IBS upsets.

We used to give our dog Buscopan which made him burp.
jaypo - have you reported on the yellow card system or looked at some of the long covid support group websites?

Oh Taz don't get me started on intolerances,I've had all the tests and I've cut out wheat, which I have an allergy to but the Dr said gastric issues are now included with long Covid and I looked it up on NHS and sure enough, stomach cramps and diarrhoea, the virus can seep onto the gut lining, heyho the days just keep getting better

What scans have you had? Did you have a full colonoscopy or just the sigmoidoscopy?
Soya is definitely my no-no.

Jaypo - might be worth doing Dr Kaufmann diet for a couple of weeks? In some ways you have nothing to lose. It’s an acid reflux elimination diet - very effective at calming things down. You don’t need to buy the book, just Google the list of foods you can and can’t eat.
Hope you improve soon, Agatha C x

DH keeps getting texts from the NHS about booking our boosters. That is, texts every other day
another reason for not sharing mobile numbers!
Thus far I've had 2 letters telling me that I can now book - that's 1 every 6 days. I could save the NHS a bunch of dollars

A friend has now tested positive for C-19 4 times in 9 months. Surely by now his immune system should have kicked in
. Others I know have had it as many times as 5-6 ......... starting with cold symptoms, dry throat, feeling off-colour.

The virus changes in subtle ways so the immune system doesn't recognise it next time round. This is interesting from the BMJ about the different symptoms being experienced
