Hi, I have been treated to a hot tub weekend away, I can see that you can't use a hot tub with HRT patches, has anyone got any advice? I don't want to miss out, but not sure what I can do?
Thank you X

Could you make that your patch changeover day after being in the hot tub, even if it's a couple of days early?

Hi Jenjen,
I have never had a problem with patches in a hot tub, I guess as long as your costume covers it and keeps it pressed firm. I have never had one come off or come loose and use hot tubs especially when on holiday.
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply, my concern is that I have read it can increase absorption of the hormone which is not good for.

changes can be scary, even when we want them

ENJOY? ....... it wouldn't be my choice of relaxation at the best of times
Maybe put a large sticky plaster-thingy over the patch or ask a Pharmacist?

I love a hot tub and spent hours in one on holiday last summer without giving my Evorel patch a thought! I didn't notice any effects...

Hi Jenjen1966
Please don't worry and enjoy your holiday. Absorption may well be increased in warmer weather anyway. When blood flows closer to the skin then apparently I read more estradiol is absrobed eg there is a normal daily peak of absoprtion in the evening when skin temperatrue is warmer. It should not affect how you feel especially as you are on holiday .
I'm always out in the sun in the summer with mine on. I would just make sure you've got extra patches in case they come off and have a great time
