I have been on evorel conti patches for two years and it has been a god send.
Today my GP called to say that the patches that i use are out of stock and she does not know when they will be coming back in.
She said that all she can give me is tablet form at the same dosage.
I so wanted to avoid tablets as i hate taking them. I dont know what make it is yet.
 i did try phoning round some pharmacies but they do not have the patches either.

has this happened to anyone else ?
will i experience any side effects moving from patches to tablets.
To be honest this is all i need - agh !

I have used femseven sequi and evorel sequi patches but due to supply issues have been prescribed kliofem hrt tablets.  I'm 3 days off finishing my 2nd month and am not feeling the best.  I've had really bad headaches and stomach aches.  I'm hoping it's just an adjustment and my body will get used to them soon

Sorry to hear that, as if we dont have enough to cope with !
i have tried looking online to see if i can buy them but so far no luck.
I hope that things settle down for you soon.

  Have you tried the online Independent Pharmacy? They had stock last time I looked.

Did you have any bleeding when you first started Evorel Conti? If yes, how long did it go on for ?

Hi, thanks for your posts , yes i tried the independent pharmacy and several local ones but it is out of stock.
Gp has prescribed kliovance tablets which i am not too keen about as it appears to be double the amount of oestrogen that i was on with the patches ?
In addition i have been experiencing terrible stomach issues on a daily basis for months so i am not happy that side effects for kliocance include stomach issues such as nausea etc.  i have symptoms of reflux, like something is stuck in my oesophagus, bloating, vomiting at night and i have lost 5 pounds.  Gp says i am low risk as i do not smoke, drink alcohol or am not overweight so i am not getting referred for investigations. i am vegetarian and dont eat spicy food but this bothers me every day all day regardless of what i eat.
Issues with my HRT is just what i dont need.
The evorel patches just suited me so well, no side effects, no problems with weight and no bleeding. i just cannot believe  that after deciding to trust HRT i am now having to change to another product that i dont want to go on.

Sorry to hear this Pebbles.  I may be in the same situation when my Evorel Sequi runs out this month. 

Do we know why there is a shortage of supply?  Is it going to be temporary or long term does anyone know?

Hi the oestrogen in Kliovance is actually less than in the Evorel Conti.

Have a look at this link. The tablet that you would need to have the equivalent amount of oestrogen is Kliofem. X

GP said that she would review me in three months so dont think that there is going to be a quick solution to this.

What about gel? I've had no problem getting oestrogel.
