I'm post menopause and have started hrt. Went to a private gynae as can never get to see my GP. She started me on a regime introducing oestrogen first which was fine and started to feel better.
Then probs started when I had to start taking Utrogestan 100mg orally. My mouth has gone so dry it's pretty painful. My gynae said try every other day but vaginally but I'm still getting symptoms (not so severe) but some days pretty intolerable.  She says to persevere and it will get better. I've been on this regime six weeks now and feel like coming off the whole lot again as not sleeping where my mouth is so dry. Has anyone else experienced this and did it improve.
Not keen on the coil idea but don't know what other options are out there. Be grateful for anyone who can help as getting pretty desperate.

Yes I had a bad experience when I started HRT four years ago with utrogestan   I saw a private gynae then too. I just felt terrible and had to stop that regime after three months.
I use Evorel conti now and much better on that.
Hope you get something sorted soon and feel better
