Hiya,lisa. Sorry you're feeling rough.
There are other options of HRT. . I am BSO with uterus. And I have tried various HRT regimes .the same as anyone with ovaries and a uterus. You must take adequate ,progesterone/progestin to protect the uterus I dont see why you shouldnt have a choice of products.
. . I hope someone here with experience of pmdd can advise.as to how HRT may affect it. May I ask your age? Do you want to not be without HRT purely for the hot flushes? It might help others to answer here .
, i have to say in my personal experience some gynaes have poor understanding of HRT. My advice to you would be find out If you have a gp with a special interest or nurse practitioner at your practice and ask to see them or to be. referred to a menopause clinic. I believe you can get more specific advice than you have received.
if you go to this page on forum
https://www.menopausematters.co.uk/oestrogens.phpThere is a pdf file on the different HRTs. If you want to have a browse.
You will need a regime which includes a progesterone/progestin.
