Podcast - Can you help?
« on: January 29, 2020, 10:45:08 AM »

Hello

I've had permission from admin to post on here asking if you would like to contribute menopause related anecdotes for a podcast I'm planning.  Don't worry, you won't need to speak on it.

I don't know about you, but my personal experience of being peri-menopausal took me completely by surprise.  I thought I was going mad and have a fair few stories of my own that make me cringe and/or feel ashamed when I think of them now. I'm thinking in particular of the time I lost the plot when my 11 year old didn't fully explain what he'd had for his school dinner that day.  I know I can't be the only one.

I want to do a podcast sharing (anonymously) other people's stories in the hope that other women won't be taken by surprise quite so much when it's their turn.  I think lots of my own stories, whilst not great at the time, could now be looked back on with a sense of humour which hopefully will make an entertaining listen, and help others feel less alone at the same time.

If you think you have an anecdote to share, it would be amazing if you could drop me a line at [email protected] - you don't need to tell me the full anecdote in the email if you don't want - just a rough headline would do for now ie 'I saw red when my son forgot his drumming lesson' (erm, true story).  Then I can gauge the interest and take it from there.

Anything goes, it could be about hot flushes, red mist, aches and pains, emotional outbursts, sleepless nights - anything menopause related.

Really hope some of you can help.
