I've just bern prescribed Livial, I realise there are previous threads in the topic but just wanted input from more recent experiences. Can you take this product long term or is it justforr short term use?

You can take it long term, i have been taking it for years, with a couple of breaks between

I have been on Tibolone but did nothing for me after 6 months so came off it and was prescribed Testosterone instead. Yes you can take it longer term.

could i just ask you as u experienced hairloss like me on estrogel how did you notice were you shedding more hair ?

By the way, got results of scalp biopsy, he was looking for Lupus, i told him there was no improvement,so he asked me to make another appointment,but booked up for 3 weeks

did they give u any outcome of the biopsy ? i had blood test for lupus and zinc plus A n A bloods which look for auto immune but all negative x

my hairloss i?m sure is caused by hrt because i stop for 9 weeks and after 6 weeks it stopped shedding but i am back on it now trying with progesterone x
the only thing i found is i?m a little dryer down there x

I took tibolone for 18 months and found it good for libido, hot flushes but made me feel achy. However I stopped it because it caused womb lining thickening and bleeding, not good at age 60.  I just take ovestin now.   I don't think 60 is an ideal age to start hrt so it may be different if you are younger.  It is known for causing thickening I think.

Hi Jaycee,. I thought it did encourage lining thickening.  I was bleeding for about 2 weeks and it stopped within 24 hours of stopping tibolone, and lining reduced after a while.  I forgot, I got horrendous acne with tibolone, very glamorous at age 60!
