Pain in hips, knees, feet - and even in my big toe!
« on: February 01, 2020, 06:02:59 PM »

I'm on 1 pump of oestrogel and 100mg Utro but since Christmas all my aches and pains in my hips, knees and feet have come back. Last year I thought they were getting better but I'm hobbling around like an old lady.

I'm taking Turmeric, Vid D, Calcium, and Magnesium. I also take Cherry Active juice at bedtime.

I'm wondering should I UP my gel to two pumps (always makes me bloated and my nipples sore though) OR perhaps cut out something in my diet? Could it be that I need to cut out the dairy, the gluten, or the sugar perhaps????

I'm 50 and probably on the best form of HRT that I've had in the last year or so but just want to know why all of my pains have come back with a vengeance? And there was me thinking I had it pretty sussed, 🙄🙄

As oestrogen levels drop so muscles may become lax = aches and pains.  Do you take pain relief?

I can't advise on HRT - maybe put the product into the search box and make notes?

I would increase it. One pump is a low dose, I started on 2 in peri. Perhaps increase by half to start with if you think you'll have problems with 2. I can't comment on the diet but if oestrogen sorted it before it's unlikely to be your diet that's the problem.

I had big toe pain too! I even called someone to ask if I had some kind of deformity growing. All my pains eased the first month I got patches.  Maybe you need more estrogen to balance the Utrogestan? What works now might not always stay the same and how you felt before might not be how you feel now so try a teeny bit more and see what happens.
