Increasing Everol Sequi
« on: December 09, 2019, 07:25:07 AM »

Supply seems to be ok at the mo where I live.  As some of you may have kindly read my previous posts, like a lot of you my peri is a rollercoaster Have been taking iron as the doc prescribed and upped my magnesium and vit D myself Felt a bit better for about a week Had a heavy period and 3 days later felt anxious, headaches and the usual strange pains that move round my body I'm now thinking of increasing my estrogen as comments on this forum suggested that might be the problem But what's the best way to do this? Thanks I'm advance S x

Hi
You'll have to ask your GP to prescribe the patches with the next dose up x

Hi Sammas,
Just wanted to comment, I had a hysterectomy and not on HRT. But I know when I should have my periods because of the random body pain that moves around my body too? What the hell is up with that? It can be so painful like I'm being poked really hard :'(
I hope you get the help needed, this menopause is not easy.

That's amazing you can still get it Sammas - but it is out of production though. For the next dose up you will need to use patches with a separate progestogen because annoyingly no combi product exists at higher doses and currently none are being manufactured!

Thanks for your replies Wilkes, lyncola and Hurdity If I continue on the patches can I just up my estrogen with a gel as patches have the progesterone in? This whole journey is so weird S x

Hi Sammas,
Yes, you should be able to do that- my GP prescribed patches and gel for a while so I could experiment with getting the right dose using the combination x

Hi I have just been reading about high estrogen symptoms being an increase in pms so now feel confused How do you know if it's too high or too low? I have pms more often than not, feel headachy a lot, funny aches and pains that move around and anxiety I just don't want to take something that makes things worse S x

I gauge my dose by my main symptoms- e.g. the return of hot flushes at night, joint pain, and other symptoms are my guide that my oestrogen has dropped. On the other hand, when I swapped patches from Estradot to Evorel back in June, I kept getting visual migraine auras which are a sign of high oestrogen. My GP agreed that I must absorb oestrogen better from the Evorel patches, and when I dropped a dose the migraine auras disappeared.

Sammas, my GP wouldn't let me do what you're describing ( I asked for exactly the same regime at my last appointment) as its non standard. Also, I don't think there's enough progesterone to balance the estrogen which means the endometrial lining may build up.

Not a lot! He has written to the menopause clinic asking for advice and also sent me for a estrogen blood test (which I know wont prove a thing) and lots of orther blood tests in case anything else if going on. Got a follow up appointment on Friday so will see what he says. In the meantime I feel pretty rubbish, it's like the HRT isn't as effective as it was, probably just declining estrogen levels due to being in proper menopause as opposed to peri. Let me know how you get on.
