Foot Issue
« on: November 21, 2019, 12:19:39 PM »

Hello All
I have another new problem to worry about so wondering if any of you lovely ladies can help!
I have had for the last week a painful hard lump on the bottom of my foot near the toes. It is the size of a ten pence piece and is dry on top. Not itchy but feels like a stabbing shooting pain going through my foot, it kept me awake last night. I cannot get a docs appointment until next week . I don't think it is a corn so would be grateful for any ideas please. Thanks. QOR.xxx

Could it be a callous, bigger than a corn but just as painful

Could you see a chiropodist for an over-all foot check?  There may be one attached to your Surgery or local Gym?

Check your footwear and stance.  Sometimes laxity of muscles causes the instep to collapse which will cause calluses .........

Hi jaycee

Thank you for your reply. It could be. I have never had anything like it before. I have rested my foot as much as I can today and it is not too bad. But my job means I am on my feet a lot so I think that is why it kept me up last night. I might need to see a podiatrist instead of docs. Will get it checked out anyway. X

Sorry CLKD just seen your post!
Yes I have been wearing wellies a lot walking my dog. They are not the best fit! Also need to look at my posture too. I will find a chiropodist to check it out. Thanks for your reply. X

May be quicker to have an all-over foot check than waiting for a GP - DH treats me to a pedicure for my birthday every year ........... they should be trained to look for anomalies too.

Let us know how you get on.  My heels are so thick - I lived and died in wellies for years and now I wear thick socks all years round as I hate going bare footed  :o - can't stand sand nor grass between my toes  :-\
