So this may be a really stupid question but I really don't want to stay on HRT any longer than I need to ( I do know that many of you stay on it for life, in fact my sister is doing). My question though is, how would I know if I am through it/ gone through the worst? I asked my doctor and she said my age would be a good indicator, which even I knew was a bit like sticking a finger in the wind and seeing which way the wind blew 😳🙄.
Is it a case of just reducing the HRT and seeing how you feel?
Or do symptoms come back regardless?

I would say every one is different, maybe reduce slowly and see how the symptoms are. Xx

Why do you want to stop?  If you were a diabetic 

The way to find out is to make a diary of symptoms/food/etc. now and then wean off, making notes as you go.  Think about why you began the treatment ......... make sure however, that your GP will allow you to restart should symptoms remain troublesome!!

Some are stuck in the 'age rule' in that if a lady is approaching 60 they won't prescribe ........

GP surgery better not try to stop mine before I decide to give it a try or there could be a murder 😂
