I can't thank you all enough for taking my post as positive.

Before I posted it I thought back to my worst time ever and I thought what would I have needed when I was at this very worrying time?  And I thought reassurance would definitely have helped  as at times I was very scared so I decided to post how all my symptoms have completely gone.  Peri was an awful time for me with flooding, palpitations, anxiety, hot flushes and mood swings for some 5 years.

Take care all you lovelies xx

Reassuring post Shazzie
I didn't even go through the peri phase! Periods just stopped dead around my 50th birthday never to return. Felt absolutely fine for 3 years then the flushes, depression, anxiety and insomnia came along. I'm 57 now, on my 4th type of HRT and still not great but am hopeful things will settle down.
I look forward to the day I can say I have no more symptoms and it's all over  :)

Hi Ginny

I just wanted to say my experience is nearer to yours. Periods got a bit closer together then just stopped. Looking back , I think the only peri symptom I had was raging libido!
Was fine for 3 years, then at 55 all the horrible symptoms kicked on big style. I'm on hrt now, and I'm not even sure if it's making much of a difference.

I'm losing hope that I will ever feel well, physically or mentally ever again!
