Bit of a long storey Mogstar71 and complicated but I will try and keep it short as I can.
I started with depression and anxiety and fatigue and really bad periods and weird migraines when I started them at 13. Had 2 prem babies horrendous postnatal depression etc. When I got to 45 anxiety was getting the better of me and actually it is because I started putting on weight and my body shape was changing and I started with intermittent flushes. Periods were still regular (always had been but very heavy) had carried on with all the other symptoms nearly my whole life. Headaches got worse, so I saw my GP and said I want hrt - bit vain I know!
As I said the Prempak only helped with the flushes and my body shape went back to how it was but the rest just got steadily worse, until I couldn't leave the house, anxiety was through the roof, joint pain woke me at night, headache was permanent, ridiculous insomnia or waking up in the night needing the loo 5 times, lost libido completely and couldn't bear husband to even kiss me which broke my heart and I was paranoid everyone I knew was going to die if they left the house too! Those were the worst but I also started getting "hayfever" which I had never suffered from in my life about 6 years in.
Its easier to say what I didn't have - I am absolutely beyond lucky I never have had vaginal atrophy problems- the waking up in the night needing the loo would be a good sign it was coming though but I escaped it. I think because I was on oestrogen all that time before things really nose dived.
Forgot to say, I am on testosterone too. I am 57 now and been "well" for a whole year! I wont b giving up my hrt anytime soon
