Period cramps on hrt
« on: September 14, 2019, 11:03:19 PM »

Hello again,
Looking for advice please, I am 56 was on evorel sequi for 5+ years quite happily ( life saver).. then the dreaded symptoms of aches and brain fog etc started returning. So gp changed me to estrodot 75 and 200 utrogestan for 12 days..
So last bleed on 19th july.. nothing august at all.. finished this 3rd lot of utro on 13th sept. No period.. lots of period pain, bloated, pms feeling.. my question is.. Is this normal ? Fed up of the pain and just feeling not me.. Should I stop ? No one to ask ,my gp has no clue.. So any answers would be wonderful.. I feel so alone and fed up. Thank you in advance..x

Hi Luna

I am on evorel 50 with utrogestan 200 for 12 days. I find I don't bleed every month and get similar symptoms. Started hrt on evorel 25 in March and had 1 bleed immediately, nothing after that for the next couple of months then increased to evorel 50 in May. Have bled only twice since then. My doc says to just keep going and it will likely settle, but if more than 3 months go by with no bleed he would want to refer me for a scan.

Could it be things are still settling? I find my symptoms are better if the first and last day of Utro I only take 100 mg. seems to smooth it out.

That's assuming of course I can get my next prescription in October!
