Nope.  Fortunately.  I had my 1st attack a week after stopping The Pill.  Sen Registrar gave me a pessary but I can't remember what was in it.  She also told me not to scratch but I remember it being high up!

The next time was after a general anaesthetic.  I found the trick is to eat lots of LIVE Greek yoghurt.  Big spoonfuls several times a day for 5.  Also it can be applied high up into the vagina, cooling at the very least.  The idea is to cleanse the whole digestive tract.  Thrush lives in the bowel so it can be easily passed into the vagina.  Thrush thrives on sugar.

Have you had a recent course of anti-biotic therapy?

Hi Brownie I suffered with recurring thrush all my adult life until I came off HRT at 64. I used Canesten pessaries and a couple of times I took oral fluconazole. Have you had a swab taken at your doctors yet?
