Hello Newbie here
Recently told I have a cervical polyp - waiting on assessment of it.
Having symptoms of spotting and lower back pain also vague pelvic pain so of constantly feel as if I am about to have a period but none appears.
From what I have read cervical polyps seem to be virtually symptomless so I am wondering if I maybe have some uterine polyps too and they are causing my symptoms? Or is it more likely to be fibroids or an ovarian cyst?

The backache is really starting to worry me as this is now week 3 .It's not enough to stop me working but it's fairly constant a bit like the back ache you experience in early labour.

Oh and I am 51 still having a random period now and again - very random last one was after a nine month gap.
Anyone experienced similar or am a medical one off as I suspect?

I had a uterine fibroid and endometriosis and my symptoms were lower back pain.

Hello Elegia,

Welcome! I have 2 cervical polyps and the only symptom was heavier flow during perimenopause. I also have 5 small fibroids and they have shrunk a bit after menopause. I guess it's unlikely that your symptoms are being caused by polyps. In perimenopause all sorts of aches and pains are possible with no specific cause, rather than the fluctuating hormones, I reckon that's your case.

I started unexplained bleeding at the end of June so I was sent for an ultrasound and hysteroscope examination.

I had polyps, which were removed today, it was a bit uncomfortable but nothing painful.
