Hi
I will phone first thing on Monday morning as ask for GP to call me back ( I don't really need to see GP ) it's only to change he onto something different rather than provera as it's totally wrecking me with side effects ..
It honestly sickens me the waiting time to see a doc and to make me gave appointment is crock of crap it can be done over the phone .

I honestly don't need the tabs until late Aug but it's not the point I'm sonangry that waiting list to see a GP is 5 weeks plus we have lots of GP in the surgery , I can go any any of them it's not as if I asked to see one certain doc 😡

Really the NHS is in duch a bloody mess

Birdy
My doc says he can't just change the provera tabs as it was menopause clinic give me them ,so he would have to stop the gel also and send me back to clinic
Noway am I going through all that again so for Jean time I'm sticking with the provera
Consultant at clinic assured me taking them 12 days every 2 months would be fine as my flash bleed is heavy so lining if womb is shredding ok
So for mean time il stuck it out

I'm just so bloody fed up last 6 yrs and they still can't get it right

How you feeling birdy ?

Karen Max - phone the clinic and speak to Philomena the Meno Nurse.  Explain what is going on...They changed my medication when I had problems with just a phone call. In fact I have only seen them physically once and they have changed meds once and issued my testosterone this way.  She will ask lots of questions and then put it to the consultant and they should either issue an immediate letter to your GP or if you really press her hard she can issue a note which you collect from the clinic and take to your GP to issue the prescription for the pharmacist.  The clinic is quite near to you in Belfast right? so no problems in collecting a note.  They don't issue the prescription at the meno clinic at the Mater just an instruction to your GP to issue one for the pharmacy.

PM if you need more info.

Birdy
It awful what we suffer, seems to be my doc won't change the pill cos it was clinic who put me onto it but il see her in Sep and that's when I'm due next provera .
Hrt told he to phone my GP ask for provera to be replaced with a pill that worked in same way doc is useless

Ladybt
Yes as easy as that , but my doc is really clipuess when it comes to hrt il see her in Sep 6weeks waiting on appointment) bloody getting worse
The hrt clinic has now discharged me so I'd need to be referred back to them so they can change it , so I'm going struggle on with provera as it's only every 2 months I've to use it plus instead of taking the 12 days of it I'm doing 10 days just , the bleed came quicker this month 2 days after I stooped provera it was here and it's still here flip sake but at least I know it's working and keeping my womb from thickening
