Breast pain
«
on:

I have been getting very mild, twinges of pain in my right breast. No lumps. It doesn't always seem to be in the same place. It is on the same side as a shoulder that frequently has pain and was found to have a degree of calcification and nerve impingement, could this be cause? Muscular? Cannot find anything on Google related to post menopausal breast pain.
The pain is not bad, mild but just worrying

I have this which I think is due to an old shoulder injury on the same side - it's always worse if I've been doing anything to aggravate the shoulder. I did get mine checked out by my GP and she advised that as we get older, we can 'sag' more in that department, which can cause pain and suggested a more supportive bra.
If you're worried, it would be worth speaking to your GP for peace of mind. And also check out how supportive your bra is and whether you need a new one!

Hi,yep, I agree with Dorothy, more support, hoist up your bra straps 😊 also, there are so many nerves run across our chest, also cysts forming etc, which is all common, very rarely does breast pain and twinges suggest anything sinister but yes,Ask gp if you're still worried ❤️

Thanks. Thinking about it, it has started since I have not been wearing a bra with my summer dresses. I have been fortunate that I have not got saggy, even the woman doing my last mammogram two years ago made a comment about ‘still being firm'. I guess age catches up with us all.
My gut feeling is that it is probably related to my shoulder, which has been giving me problems for several years, or muscle related but it has come at a time when I am struggling with my health anxiety issues, so of course it will be something really bad! I had heard before that anything sinister is rarely painful. Trying to focus on that. If things don't improve I will see my GP

Good girl Donna, get those boobs in their slings 😆😂 shoulder pain could cause pain in your breast, nerves are deep down, often mistaken for something else.
Hark at you with your pert boobs, mine are too small to sag to my knees ....... bonus 😊 let us know how you are,you should go on funny side of menopause thread and look at what have you diagnosed yourself with,HA not funny when you have it but that thread should give you a smile 😊

Ha ha, they are only still standing as they are too small to be affected by gravity
I will take a look at The Funny Side. Thanks

I have exactly the same pain. It sometimes feels like it's coming from my shoulder blades or ribcage. Often feels worse in the morning or last thing at night. No lumps or bumps. Was told 'this is common' by the doctor. It sort of helped!!

Yes. NettyJay that is exactly the pains and feelings I have. In fact when I think about it the pains originate above the breast, more in the upper rib cage and underneath the breast. Reassuring to read that your doctor says this is common.
