Perimenopause

Can anyone help I have not had a period for about six months but this month I have now been bleeding for three weeks. Has anyone else had this if so is it normal or should I be worried?

It's The Change, says what it does on the tin  ::)

My periods waxed and waned for several years in various fits and starts.  Then I realised that I hadn't had one for months but I didn't stop carrying protection for 5 years  ;D
