Nervous tics

I'v been feeling little nervous tics in my left eyelid. It's almost imperceptible, it does not makes me wink, nothing embarrassing like that. I just feel the muscles ticking in my lid at random times and it's disconcerting but not really serious. It all started three months ago as I had an horrendous bleeding that lasted two months when the Mirena punctured my cervix. Never in my life had tics before. Is it another meno symptom or is it just anemia and the stress of the situation? Will it go away when my hormones got controlled and anemia resolved?
Did any of you got tics as you entered peri menopause?

It used to happen to me if I was tired.  For ever.  Unrelated to hormones.

Oh, that's a relief! I am very, very tired at the moment but as you said it can be related to tiredness so I think it must dissapear the moment I get upper iron levels and feel less tired. Thanks, it's great to know that's not another sh#**y meno symptom

Hello!  It happens to me sometimes.  Mostly my right eyelid sometimes not always before a migraine.  Drives me crazy!   :o

Didn't know migraines caused tics. Since you have migraines, I guess you won't get HRT or BCP prescribed. How do you cope?

I'm on the patch which is lower risk for migraine.  I was on BCP for 20 years and never had any issues.  Occasional migraines, but nothing terrible.  It's when I went off 2 years ago...then all went downhill  :(

Mine happens when I'm tired.  Haven't had it for years  ::) and no one else notices even though it feels like it's flapping for all to see  ::)

No, but today it seems less frequent. Perhaps because today I feel slightly less tired.
Nobody else notices my tics, but like you, I always think they do

I had this a few months ago for about a week or two. Was a cross between a pulsating ticking eyelid and a sticking one. The more I thought about it, the worse it got, I think. Went away after about ten days. Was at a time of even more stress and tiredness than usual  ;D

I have stood in front of a mirror when it's doing it's thing and can't even see it unless I turn sideways  ::)

Definitely it's tiredness. Since you told me it can happen when you're very tired, I've been paying attention and I think you're right
