Increase in oestrogen
« on: June 06, 2019, 07:54:08 PM »

Hi

My specialist increased my oestrogen to Evorel 75 plus one pump of oestrogel last week. I feel odd. I can't describe exactly but feel low, detached, nauseous, not much appetite and tired. Is it my body adjusting to the increase in oestrogen? My blood results showed low oestrogen so I definitely need more.

Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
Nicola

Hi Nicola yes I would think this is what's happening see how you go and if you don't feel better in a week or so go back to your gp maybe the dose is to high I myself never feel good on to high oestrogen.

Thank you for your advice. Doc has suggested I use half a pump so going to give that a try. I seem to be very sensitive to hormone changes!

Hi Nik2502, did you have any problems sourcing Everol 75mcg?. I've been changed from everol sequi to everol 75mcg patch & provera 5mg orally, tried 2 chemists neither in stock, one couldn't guaranteen being able to get it for me, other ordering it for me to collect tomorrow (hopefully). I hope your symptoms start to settle with increased oestrogen.

Hi Nik2502,
I feel exactly the same- depressed, detached, shabby and decidedly odd (it's difficult to articulate!)
I'm literally on half a pump oestrogel per day and this is day 4- so, stupidly sensitive!
My bloods cannot detect any oestradiol and I'm shattered so really need this oestrogen.
Hopefully for both of us this is, as you say, our bodies adjusting.
Sorry, not much help- but hopefully you can take some comfort in the fact that the oestrogel is affecting me similarly!! And fingers crossed this is all temporary for both of us :)

Hi vintagefiend
I think we must just be extra sensitive to our hormones. My oestrogen is low too - not enough to protest against osteoporosis either.
It does help I'm not alone or going mad!
Thank you  :)
