I've given in
« on: June 06, 2019, 10:42:56 AM »

I've given in and gone back on my anti depressants,I can't live with the way I was feeling so I would rather not feel anything at all frankly,I will review again in 6 months I think,I looked at herbal remedies but there isn't enough information around to say if they actually work,my main symptom is mood swings and depression so I will concentrate on that

You have to do what feels right for you Nannyneet. Don't be to hard on yourself, you're going through a hard time at the moment & if it helps then take it.
Hope you feel better soon.

Try not to see it as giving in, cos that's just loading guilt on top of what you're already suffering. In the end the objective is for you to feel  better, and if you have to take ADs to get there then that's what you have to do. It's not a failure - many of us on here find that HRT alone just doesn't seem to be able to solve our hormonal problems. Be kind to yourself xxx

Thankyou,it's been a difficult few months but now I've made up my mind I feel better for it, I have to accept that I do need these meds or my life is miserable

Thanks racjen ,I'm very good at beating myself up but I know realistically that I can't manage without this drug so I'm just going to have to make my peace with it and go with the flow
I can't really take HRT either and don't really want to so this is the only ting I can try

'given in' to what/who exactly  :-\ - it took me a while to accept that I need ADs for Life: otherwise I wouldn't be here.  I wanted to know what was causing my depression, the axniety is a different issue.

I stopped telling people what I take in order to get out of bed each day.  I don't tell anyone when I change my undies so they don't have a right to know any other aspect of my life-style.

This is about how you feel and cope - reviewing is healthy, so is supporting yourself ;-)
