[Two hoots]

I heard a radio show last week where people phoned in with really not appropriate songs played at funerals, I've always joked I want ELO evil woman  but the more I think about it the more I really want it 

Some of the songs mentioned were, burn baby burn and going underground, if you think about it there are lots of songs that could give you a memorable send off, or are you the classy type with Frank Sinatra, I did it my way ?

I went to one funeral & the gentlemen had requested Devil Gate Drive by Suzie Quatro.

A friend was carried in to 'don't stop me now' ..........

I will be carried in - haven't decided - but will ask people to be seated and think of the person they love best whilst the 2nd movement of the Bruch violin concerto plays, I'll be slipped into the oven to bird song ;-)

No songs for me or hubby as we don't want any kind of service.   I know several local people who have died recently and were cremated with nobody in attendance.  One of them was a woman in her late 50s with four children and a few grandchildren so I was really surprised but that was her choice.

I went to an elderly lady's cremation and we went in to “We'll meet again” and as the coffin disappeared it was “wish me luck as you wave me goodbye”.   Her family thought it was funny and the son got up and said “we are an unusual family”.   Her old friends didn't think it was funny at all and was disrespectful. Apparently the son got her to sell her house and hand over all her money so they could all buy a former pub then they stuck her in an annexe and forgot about her.

We've had that kind of speculation in our estate in recent years - my answer was 'since when did you have access to X's Bank Account?' .......

If that's what the family want ........... especially if it's requested in the Will or arranged by the deceased.  My friend planned hers from top to bottom ;-)
