Anti-anxiety medication is not anti-depressant medication although some to cross over to ease symptoms.

How about 'rescue remedy'?  I use the mouth spray with some success, never thinking about whether it will work/not?  I've got pastilles somewhere too.  As well as my emergency as necessary drug - the last 1 required in September although I've had high anxiety levels since, including yesterday.  Swimming can help and walking works for some but when highly anxious I need to be close to a loo as well as my legs going weak and woolly.

I have used deep breathing over the years but unless I get it going immediately, anxiety takes over.   It is the Trial and Error that I find so distressing.  I also remember waking in the early hours in deep pre-hensile fear ......... not even a sudden waking, but slowly emerging into the realisation that another day dawns and 'how will I cope today'  :'(.  4 me it's purely physical first ..........

Hello again ladies.

Anjia  - I find it's a comfort to know other women have the same issues but in an ideal world none of us would be suffering as we do.

I think the usual advice is to up the oestrogen to counter the jitters but I only got as far as a 75mcg patch and had to reduce due to bleeding, plus the jitters persisted anyway! Just to confuse things  some ladies say that too much oestrogen actually gives them jittery feelings and they feel better on a lower dose.

If you find a regime that eradicates this horrible symptom please let us know, you would then be a true hero on the forum!

Wishing you well.

K.
