Daytime hot flushes
« on: April 30, 2019, 02:34:38 PM »

I've been having night sweats for a while now (probably since November last year).

End January I went on the combined pill (Loestrin 30) to try and control the heavy bleeds/clots I was getting. And that's worked a treat. I've just been taking it continuously, without any breaks. What a relief!

I still get night sweats two or so nights a month, but nowhere near as bad as they were before. I have very vivid dreams along with them, insomnia and feel very drained the next day (not the usual insomnia tiredness, but something else).

Last month I was about 12 hours late in taking my pill and I got a hot flush that day. I've been taking it very, very regularly since then, at pretty much the same time every day, give or take an hour.

Last two nights I've had my usual night sweats, insomnia and vivid dreams, but today I've been feel really hot, all day long. It's definitely not normal for me, I'm usually freezing.

So looks like things are moving forward and progressing.

God only knows how bad things would be if I wasn't on the pill. I couldn't really cope before I went on it, and my mental health went downhill really quick, very very badly.

Anyway, that's my update.

I also seem to be thirstier than I can drink today, which seems to happen for me after night sweats.

Thank you jaypo! It's really kind of you to stop by and reply :)

I have a feeling there's a pattern to the night sweats. I've just not worked it out yet...

Another very hot night. Third in a row and the first time that has happened.

I also noticed that I am quite stressed at the moment with work. I don't know if that has made a difference?
