Yes if it's a colonoscopy you definitely need to be cleared out a full day ahead and the special diet for two days and fasting on the final day,bit strange no instruction from hospital,let us know what's what tc xx

Thank you ladies. They havent sent me anything. I have called and they said they are going to get back to me but the lady who answered said I definitely need a clear out prep tomorrow. I hope i can go and pick it up. The procedure isnt til 4.00 so hopefully I have enough time to follow any instructions tommorow

Are you definitely having a colonoscopy Tc or is it a flexible sigmoidoscopy? If it's a flexi sig they will be able to do the enema there tomorrow but if it's a colonoscopy you would have had to be taking the prep today and doing the diet so there wouldn't be enough time. I used to work in endoscopy unit (admin).

Blot. Its colonoscopy its at 4 PM on Tuesday. So I thought I would be able to do the prep tomoro? I think I'll call them again

I phoned them and apparently I'm not on the list!! It's an appointment with the specialist to see me first!!! They didnt say that in their text.
It was choose and book. And the form I had to book it said colonoscopy
I feel a right fool now
Anyways. Thanks for all your help. In not unhappy about seeing the specialist first.

At least you've not had to cancel anything Tc,because it would've been too late to take your prep as blot said.ner mind,we're all a bit loopy on here😊

im working towards fthe full house on the meno symptom checklist!!
Having said that it did say colonoscopy on the referral letter. Excuses excuses I know!!
