Help from Post Meno Ladies - Gel & Utrogestan

Dunno what to do apart from throw myself under a train:(

Post meno 5yrs and started on Evorel Conti patches two years ago but didn't make much difference and I never got back to my meno specialist because I was dealing with other issues with my Functional Practitioner and didn't want to change too much at once.  Decided to gradually wean off the patch mid December and a few weeks later noticed a few symptoms ie. weaker bladder, waking up with soaking wet nightshirt, dry skin and hair.  Assumed it could be related to went back to my specialist who checked some old blood results of 2yrs ago after I had been on the patch for 6 months and she said I was clearly not absorbing properly.  Started me on the gel and 100mg Utrogestan (vaginally) nearly 2 weeks ago at bedtime.  Started me on 3 squirts but I felt so ill after a few days, mentally confused, weak, anxiety through the roof, couldn't function. Went back to her and she said probably estrogen overload which can happen, so dropped me down to 1 squirt for a week and then up to 2 where I should stay for 3 months, still taking the Utrogestan daily.

Symptoms have eased off; yesterday I had a good day with very little anxiety but today it's back with a vengeance, and for the last few days I have also been experiencing some lower abdomen cramping like I am due to come on and looser stools. The cramping seems to start in the afternoon/evening.  Have been on both now nearly two weeks.

Could it be the Utrogestan? It obviously doesn't dissolve completely and I pass remnants each morning.  As I still seem to have some inside each day, why do I have to take it every day?  Can it be every other day?  Unfortunately my specialist didn't explain the ins and outs of everything and I am confused and scared that something is wrong and making me worse rather than better.  Help please ladies, please!!!  Is there any light at the end of my dark tunnel, so need some reassurance right now.

I have ignored my specialist too and had a sex hormone blood test because my results were so old I want to see what my levels are now having been on the patch for so long even though I started on the gel and Utrogestan a couple of weeks ago.  Should have those results tomorrow hopefully

So step back from the edge of the Platform.  If you really do feel ill enough to make such a statement, contact Samaritans or your GP!

I am sure that someone will be along with advice, in the meantime put the names of the products into the search box to C what threads pop up.  Make notes  ::). HORMONES  >:(

Weak bladder symptoms can be eased by appropriate HRT treatment delivered directly into the vagina.  Do read our threads on vaginal atrophy.

I didn't want to cut and run and leave you on the edge of that platform

thanks Stella, not liking this crampy feeling and also lower back ache.  My stools were even looser this morning to the point of diarrhea and my anxiety bad.
again.  I don't understand why these symptoms have appeared two weeks in rather a couple of days in.  Will they go away?
