Dentist said I have a bone infection, but I guess he means dry socket as he cleaned out the socket and placed a medicated dressing there (and no antibiotic) and told me to go back to have it changed on Wednesday. It's so horrible. Might as well go back on the full patch as clearly it didn't prevent it.

  • changes can be scary, even when we want them

Bone infection is different to dry socket and he should have explained the difference.  The latter is painful.  Did he take an X-ray to see the depth of the infection?

You had ABs?  Did you discuss HRT whilst there?

I was in too much pain to think straight so didn't ask anything. He put a medicated dressing with anaesthetic, which is being changed tomorrow. Said antibiotic wasn't necessary. He didn't do an xray. Still twinging a lot and Ive got a permenet headache, but that might be rebound from the back to back painkillers Ive had for nearly a week.
