Hi i'm new to the forum .Think I'm near the end of Perimenopause; started hrt last year but had to come off patches fem7 due to bad pmt symptoms. Now starting evorel patches, does anyone know if they help with sleep ? I'm really tired but when head hits pillow brain goes in to overdrive,it's driving me nuts ! Also does anyone know if they're better than female 7 with regards to pmt symptoms ?advice would be appreciated x

Hi there

I think they are better in that they replace oestrogen which reduces hot flushes and so helps sleep. Is it evorel sequi or conti you've been given?  I'm on sequi and use Utrogestan for progesterone rather than noresthisterone (which did give me pmt like symptoms).  Utrogestan is not perfect but is sedative so does help with sleep.

I'm only awake at this time because I've got a streaming cold 😒

Thanks for reply ,sorry it's late as having difficulty using forum at moment as it's all new .I'm starting evorel sequi tonight ;a bit nervous as I stopped fem 7 after 8 months of use as last 2 weeks of patches getting bad pmt symptoms, which I see on here is quite common . I tried coming off them for 6 weeks but have been lethargic shakey and terrible insomnia .I hate having to play Russian roulette with health this way .Do you have utrogestan as a patch or pill ?my gp isn't very informative about treatment and doesn't have much of up to date information unfortunately, keeping everything crossed that this one's gonna suit me . :-\

It's a pill which can be used orally or vaginally. I use the latter as this lessens side effects and more of it gets to where it needs to go. If you type it into the search box you'll see lots of others experiences using it.  Good luck xx

I`m on evorel sequi and my sleep is still rubbish - I`m awake for 2 or 3 hours in the middle of the night every night. It was the same on femseven .... I`m just a bad sleeper and got a lot on my mind at the mo so it`s not helping. At least I`m not getting flushes though!

Hi I'm on just Everol and my sleep is not good, usually always get an interrupted nights sleep, then waking around 5-5.30am. I keep hoping it will get better!
