Really glad it all went well. Hope you get your next appointment sorted and get the all clear.  I know when I went for my second scan and she told me my womb lining thickness had returned to normal it was such a relief. All the best to you!

Hi all

Update on my scan.  IT went well, sonographer was great, she said bladder looked smooth and good, womb lining nice and thin! She struggled to find my ovaries, but said that she would be more concerned if she found them easily, as they shrink after menopause.  She found them eventually and said looked good.  She did both abdo and trans vaginal, so very thorough.

She said I still need to attend gynae appointment, as I will need cervix and vaginal walls looked at.

But, so far so good!

I don't have my gynae appointment yet, you have to go through the gatekeepers before they will give you an appointment.  I got my referral document with my password, but too late to ring, as they close at 5pm

thank you for the support, you are all fabulous!  :thankyou: :foryou: :tulips2:

Thanks all :)

CLKD -- no it wasnt too bad at all.  Managed to keep control of bladder, although it was REALLY uncomfortable.

Katejo, I'll be sending positive vibes your way :-).  Did you have symptoms?  I am not sure how you would know if you needed to get a bone scan?  Or did you just decide to do it as part of self care?

Well, I've finally got my gynae appointment, but it's not until 14th May  :(

I have had some more bleeding (very light), so not too chuffed about the three month wait.

Trying to stay calm.

Hi Jeepers Glad that you had good news. Pity about the longish wait. I just asked for the bone scan myself because I hadn't had one for 3 years. Result was ok.

Glad to hear your scans we t well. Must be a relief. ... Great news

I rang the surgery, as my understanding was that given my age and symptoms, I was supposed to be seen in two weeks. They are going to try to get me on the two week pathway tomorrow when my GP is back in. Wish I hadn't waited the two weeks for the triage now though.

Coincidentally, the bleeding has got a lot worse today. It's more like a lightish period than spotting now.

Sorry to hear the bleeding has got worse, it's worries the hell out of you I know. I hope you get a sooner appointment. Is that for a hysteroscopy?

Hi Suzy

thanks for replying

I don't know what they will be doing, its a consultation, and I haven't been told anything at all, other than what the sonographer told me. I assume the doctors need to review the scans too. I just had that pink discharge on 25th Jan, then it went away until yesterday, and now I'm bleeding properly.  Yes its really worrying.  Did they find out the cause of your bleeding?

I was on tibolone for 18 months and the bleeding stopped when I stopped taking it.  The scans and biopsy showed and area of womb thickening of 5mm.  I had another scan about 2 months later and the lining had returned to normal.  It must have been the hrt causing it. I am just using local hrt now for VA and  afraid to use any systemic hrt. Still frightened of what my body will do.  Really feel for you that the bleeding is continuing.  I was going out of my mind with anxiety.  I've always been an anxious person but my worry went crazy.  Hope you are ok and get an earlier appointment.

Hi Suzy

Yes, it's very worrying, especially as it's getting heavier.

The sonographer said the lining looked nice and thin, although I realise that the scans need to be reviewed by the doctors too.

I am on utrogestan and oestrogel.ive been taking them for about 8 months, and up to January had no bleeding at all. I am 3 years (maybe 4, I can't remember ) post menopause.

I wish the surgery would hurry up and phone!

I was just told that I had very mild osteopenia and they want me to have another scan in 2 years. I did my travel insurance today but didn't declare this as I thought it was probably just the natural change as we get older. I hope you get seen soon.
