New Member needing advice

Hi all
I am new on this site and very glad I have found it. I have been advised that I do not use HRT due to me having heart disease and other issues but mostly because of the heart disease.
I am aware I need to be careful so that any natural supplements do not interact with my meds but was wondering if anyone can recommend anything and I will get it checked out. My dr has recommended looking at Agnus Castus, Red Clover or Primrose Oil but when I spoke with the pharamacist she said she couldn't categorically say it will be fine because there aren't enough studies.
I thought I would at least start with some recommendations and then go back and try and work it out.
Thank you and look forward to any recommendations,
Theresa

Hi Theresa.........
I'm sorry to hear about your heart disease, and sorry you can't go on hrt.
My sister in law swears by Wild Yam, she gets it from Holland & Barratt.
She wouldn't go on hrt, but told me that the Yam worked for her....
Hope you find something that helps, keep doing your research, good luck....
Let us know how you get on......

Hi! what does your Consultant suggest instead of HRT?
The Pharamacist is correct. Also, some find herbals etc. of use until their hormones start going haywire, when benefit may be lost. There is an 'alternatives' room so perhaps browse there?
Maybe decide which symptom you would like to ease first and put it into the 'search' box here to see what pops up.
