Annierus3 - you mention the head in the vice thing and the blurred vision and "it cant be meno surely" all I can say is it was a major feature of my meno journey. It is so much more likely to be that than anything awful so you are right to try and put that out of your mind.
I ended up 4 years ago with a neurologist because I was getting what I call "broken lights" in my eyes particularly my left (looked like someone had smashed a greenhouse) and a strange numbness in my top lip - all arrived for no apparent reason.
Of course they didn't find anything and just to as part of the back story I have had left eye migraines since I was a teenager. Since being on my meno journey I discovered I have always had hormonal problems - who knew - well no one knew least of all the Dr's who kept prodding and pocking me and searching for various random symptoms.
Anyway, luckily for me after a huge and lengthy struggle these symptoms and others have certainly dialled down. The eye pain and numbness have not gone completely they still emerge when I am very stressed but on a scale of 1-10 they are now at a 4 with olny rare appearances.
check out the list of symptoms you can have with meno Annierus on the forum - type it in the search box. you will be gobsmacked as to the kinds of things that can happen and stuff you would never think of alongside the menopause but what it does do is stop some of the health anxiety because you realise they are meno symptoms and not some horrible condition (or 3!) which you have just developed - although it could be a virus

of course we all get them - but I betcha any money you like it is probably to do with meno.
Hope you feel better soon (if its a dreaded virus) meno ha that's a bit tricky sometimes
