I love the idea of people bringing different dishes to the meal, but that doesn't seem to ever happen in our family either. Basically my mum does the majority of it. I have to get in quick to get stuff done to take the load off of her. There just doesn't seem to be that community feeling when it comes to cooking. I certainly don't have her temperament, I expect others to help out.

Ive cooked another small turkey, some stuffings and taken bread out of freezer so no more cooking for me for days!
My only daughter lives a few yards away so I don't have that empty quiet house feeling but I do sympathise Taz x
