I watch until she starts singing then ........ ;D

I looked on a map that shows where cruise ships are, Madeira is the place to be, loads there, one day I might go but I'll be there in October instead.

I'll raise a glass to us all tonight, even those who have abandoned us to sit in the sun

We need to renew our passports. They expire on 1 March.

No idea where I fancy going this year but we will definitely be going somewhere!

To the ladies who are in the Canaries now, have a great time!

it's not bad at all for January CLKD.  there were families sitting on Cromer beach today albeit wrapped up and a few windsurfers in the sea.   500 people were doing the New Years Day swim at Sheringham and I have known MUCH colder January's than this.  We even saw the sun today.

There are smaller cruises: 100/200 and no Captains' table.  ;). One can stay in the cabin too.

JaneMacD can be quite funny but I can't stand her kind of music.

She's put me off cruising - far too many people in one place for my liking. The captain's table would be my idea of hell  ;D

I love a cruise holiday, if I'd watched the programmes first I don't think I'd have tried it  :o

I do love Jane McDonald's programme but I'm the same, don't like her singing
Oh noooooo I'd NEVER sit at the captains table, load of pretentious twoddle,we were invited to a cocktail party, which we did go to as the captain gives a speech which is usually good and there were two queues, one to the bar and one to shake the captains hand!!!! I'm sure you can all guess which queue I joined  ;D

We did a mini cruise on the Nile a few years ago which was great as very relaxed. (Although seeing armed guards protect the boat when we went under bridges was a bit scary).

We have just booked Porto city break for June. Great flight deal via Ryan Air. We liked Lisbon so thought we would give another Portuguese city a try.  Nice to have something to look forward to in this gloomy wet weather.

Porto is a really nice City.  It's as nice as Lisbon, albeit a bit more sprawly
