Prostate Cancer
«

Hi, my husband has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, it is still inside the prostate itself and the seminal tubes, he has to go for a bone scan next Monday then when we have the results of that he starts a 3 month course of hormone injections, then 20 days Monday to Friday for a month of Radiotherapy, then more hormone injections. Has anyone else been through this with their other half. x

No but a neighbour has with good results. The Surgeon told him to expect surgical intervention but the oestrogen treatment is working although he has put on weight.
Go armed with questions. A note pad to take notes. I had a bone scan prior to radiation treatment and was scared silly, had they told me that after having the dye injected and having to drink 2 pints of liquid in the next 2 hours that it was an all over X-ray
How do you feel?

Hi CLKD,
I'm ok cried myself silly all the way back from the hospital and then pulled myself together just trying to get my head around it, he's lost a kidney through cancer and has bladder cancer which gets looked at every few months, i just feel so sorry for him to have to go through something else now, we got an information pack from the hospital to look at.
