Fatigue and anxiety
« on: August 28, 2018, 05:28:44 PM »

Hi, does anyone get debilitating fatigue and anxiety ?  I started having symptons when I was 42 about the time my periods were very heavy, I am now 47. I quit teaching because I couldn't cope with the stress and exhaustion coupled with the perimenopause, I have been under 2 specialists and in December I was diagnosed with low estrogen levels, had my estrogen patches doubled and was put on Utrogestan, this settled the anxiety down but not the fatigue.

I had the coil put in in July because I started having breakthrough bleeding and lower abdomin pain with utrogestan but bled very heavily for 3 weeks (clots) nowand panic attacks returned with avengeance, had the coil taken out and decided to give my body a rest and have been progesterone free for 2 weeks ,  the last couple of days the fatigue and now the anxiety have returned.  I had been panic attack free for 6 months, so it feels like I have gone 2 steps back and none forward, consultant is on holiday of course!!

HI there,  I don;t have fatigue but do have anxiety.  It seems the HRT is a case of trail and error for many of us.  There are a lot of ladies that it works for but most of the ladies on here have had to try different HRTs to find the correct one.   Most ladies report that progesterone is the issue but in your case obviously not as you are progesterone free.  Are you still taking the estrogen - it maybe that the level of estrogen is to high without the progesterone element but that is unusual.  Some of the other ladies, who are more knowledgeable than me, will help.  This forum is a god send with helpful ladies all going through this difficult journey.  M xx

I'm 46 and perimenopausal. I have your symptoms in abundance - anxiety, panic, and sore boobs are top of my list. Fatigue is next on the list. No HRT for me.
