I don't really mind the dark nights, it's just the wet weather
I don't like.
My birthdays Xmas eve, which I'm not keen on, and we both hate Xmas.
We always say we're going away for Xmas, but we find it far too expensive,
And always end up staying here.
Xmas was ok when the kids were little, more tolerable, but now we hate it.
My favourite month is probably June.

jillydoll - if I lived alone I would volunteer at a shelter over C.mas/New Year. One has 2 apply in good time as apparently they have to do Police checks etc.
I don't mind fresh cold mornings. Can wrap up well for those. It's wet and windy I hate. Usually around 5th November

You can also buy vit b12 in spray form LL they're usually under a tenner but they last for ages and saves you losing most of it via the liver etc more of it gets straight to where you need it.😘

I bought a SAD lamp a few years ago and find it really helpful. I only use it for 20 minute bursts and either sit and read in front of it or just sit and shut my eyes and put some nice music on. It really is like being in the sunlight. Our house is old and dark so I struggle on wet and dark days. I got it from Amazon for about £50. It just gives you a mental boost. I also go jogging round the streets on dry dark evenings and quite enjoy that as no one can see me! But agree Meno + Anxiety + Dark days =

I struggle with the winter months especially Jan and Feb but last year taking vit D and multi vits did help a bit. But did go abroad in Feb and April. It's not the cold or snow it's just not seeing the sun for days, l can cope with cold frosty days if we have a blue sky, it's the constant grey gloom that I hate.

I like the winter months as it means I need no excuse to stay inside. No pressing needs to keep on top of my garden so all good in my book. I do tend to have 'winter projects' every year which gives me a focus.

PS. I do take vit D though all year round.

I sometimes sit outside even if it's cold. My family has been known to have winter BBQ's we love being outdoors all year round and sit round the fire afterwards.
