Oh what a shame - that's really bad news - were your dosages on the Premarin the same? I got given Provera (medroxyprogesterone) to go alongside my 1.25mg Premarin. 

You said you have stomach problems Hurdity on here talks about the utrogestan virginally because it bypasses the liver - oh and I have just re-read so does DaisyDot! Must pay attention.  I tell you what I have noticed is that as we go through peri into post, as the years go by, our symptoms and the way we react to stuff seems to change - what worked before doesn't any more? 

Maybe if you list some of your most bothersome symptoms someone will write and say what helped them with that? Sometimes it's not until things get picked apart and someone else says something, that there is a "light bulb" moment.

Hi ladybt. My gynae prescribed 1.25 dose and I tried that first of all and then because I felt so awful, I cut the tablet in half making it the same as my Prempak dosage but still felt rubbish so gave up on that one.

I've tried several different preparations now, gel, patches and tablets and some of them have dealt with my symptoms better than others but all have caused me stomach problems.  I thought I might be progesterone intolerant but things were the same even when I tried Estrogel on it's own before adding the prog. 

I've posted quite a lot on here asking for advice and the ladies have been amazing in offering support and advice which I'm truly grateful for.  I'm still hopeful that I will find something that manages my meno symptoms and then I can try to manage my stomach issues with otc medication. I'm going to ask if I can try Estrodot patches with a separate prog.  I'm intending to use on a sequi regime even though I'm well post meno as I've been getting a bleed on Femoston Conti anyway so would rather know when this is going to happen rather than it happening willy nilly.

I understand you are trying Estrogel and Utrogestan now. I hope you get on well with it.  I found it helpful to be in control of the amount of Estrogen I used with the gel.
