At the time they were looking for a neurological problem as it's one of the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Given that possibility anything else was good news! The eye/sickness problem was 2 days every fortmight for about 2 years, fotunately mostly at the weekends or I wouldn't have been able to hold down a job. It's got better over the years and now I only get it once every couple of years & it hasn't been bad enough to vomit for several years. I've had tinnitus since it happened but the deafness has developed slowly and only recently become a problem - not for me but OH complains how loud the TV is (I think he's getting over-sensitive!)  ::)
It's a bit frightening just how much damage can be caused by an everyday virus, at the time it just seemed like a bad cold.

Hi Ladies, just to let you all know i had my MRI scan and it showed nothing sinister, ENT consultant want's to see me in 6 months so they can monitor my hearing loss, i might end up with a hearing aid if it deteriorates. At least my body seems to be regulating itself and it is not as noticeable as it was in the beginning, just have to learn to live with it.

:thankyou: that's a relief.  My ears have both been quite blocked the R worse - for hours.  Even giving it a wriggle hasn't helped and it has been suggested that I ought to go for a hearing test  :-\ ......... but I didn't hear the suggestion ;-).

Have a look at this link CLKD it's Specsavers & about half way down the page you can book a free hearing test. I think Boots do them as well.

I've had a head cold.  Both ears are 'blocked' so I feel like I'm in the bottom of a well  :-\

Not good CLKD, bad enough when one is blocked, but to have both affected. Hope it sorts itself out soon. x
