Changing from femseven conti to femseven sequi
« on: July 06, 2018, 06:28:19 AM »

I started femseven conti 3 months ago (age51) as GP assumed my periods had stopped as no bleeds on mirena for few years(this was removed before HRT patches started. So I now realise periods are still happening as had period on 5/6/18 and 5/7/18. I now have femseven sequi to start. Bit confused when to start. If I start two phase 1 patches at end of my period then two phase 2 patches at what stage will I have a controlled bleed? I'm trying to avoid this while I'm on holiday as bleeding is really heavy (I know it's not that simple controlling bleeding 😬 but it would really ruin my holiday as bleed is so heavy. My aim is to try and get controlled bleed around 25/9/18 .. 😳 thanks everyone

Hi Millie02

 :welcomemm:

My suggestion, rather than use the Femseven sequi, is to have another Mirena fitted if this suited you. I'm not sure why you had the Mirena removed - it needs renewing every 4 years if used as part of HRT - and then you can add oestrogen as a 50 mcg dose patch if this is what suits you (Femseven delivers 50 mcg oestrogen daily).
