Idk, my therapy went great once I found someone who was totally focused on practical solutions. I made sure to find a therapist who deals specifically with health conditions and body image issues.

What worked was getting concrete strategies for handling those sudden mood swings and actually reframing my relationship with my body during menopause. That focus on real, practical mental tools, not generic comfort, helped me move forward.

I have to give credit to Adam Nanayakkara, I found him using the Livespirited directory. Without his specific approach, I do not know if therapy would have been this effective. You definitely want a specialist who understands this context.
