I'm not too sure about that Daisydot, I've resorted to taking a diazepam this morning as I was in such a state! Wish I could quiet my mind, it's non stop going over things and always coming to the worst possible conclusion! This 3 weeks of waiting is going to be horrendous xx

It's OK to take medication, that's what it is for.  Could you ring the appt and offer yourself for a cancellation?

Diazepam can be helpful if used in the right situation KAH so I don't see why it's troubling you if it helps to get you past a crisis then use it till you feel stronger and keep yourself occupied as CLKD says volunteer for a cancellation you never know.xx

I can't go any sooner as my bruising is still quite bad from the biopsy so they need that to be mostly gone or the mammogram won't be clear enough when they come to remove the area in question.
My doc said that I can't take the diazepam for more than 2 weeks and as I have almost 3 weeks until I get the results I'm trying to use it only when absolutely desperate. To be honest I'm so over anxious that I'm not sure it helps that much anyway but I can't take more than 5mg as I need to be 'with it' enough to look after my daughters!

Do you think? I've only took one for the past couple of nights then in desperation I had one this morning, so I guess I'm not over-using them! She only gave me 10 so I need to think carefully before taking one!!

KAH, I'm so sorry you are going through this and it's easy to say don't worry but I know someone who had a calcified breast lump (near the surface) about 16 years ago and she had it removed and has been absolutely fine ever since.  Specialist said it was highly treatable and it was - there was no need for any other treatment either.  Wishing you well.

Thank you Mary G, that's really helped. Apparently i have 2 different types of cell abnormality, one in the duct and not sure about where else! But definitely good to hear that your friend is ok, so thank you once again xxx

I know what you mean about worrying. It is very difficult not to. Even though they said mine was ok after ultrasound & come back in September for another ultrasound I am already worrying over that. The one really good thing is that now they are really checking you out & I always think the waiting is the worst part. Wishing you well too xx

Yes I agree Paisley, there's nothing worse than feeling like they've not been thorough enough. It is human nature to worry and it makes it worse when everywhere you look there's adverts, stories or people talking about cancer! I'm sure you'll be fine, they'd have asked to see you sooner if they were worried at all. I'd say try not to worry but you will anyway, just try not to over-think it. Big hugs xx
