VA AND BURNING
«

Hello, haven't been on this site for a long time. I am pleased to say my Atrophy has been none existent for well over a year. It would appear to be back again.
Don't know if it is coincidence but have been away on holiday and the towels were heavily perfumed. At home I use non biological washing powder. Could the perfumed towels have set off my burning again and aggravated the skin? Also used some Sanex which wasn't my usual sort and it was perfumed. Shan't make that mistake again. Wasn't sure if I had a UTi, but not heard anything back from my Doctors, so guess it's not. Back to ice, coconut oil and Vagifem. Replies would be appreciated from you very knowledgeable ladies.

VA treatment needs to be continued even when things have improved, why did you stop using it?
Do a two reload with the Vagifem and then use a maintenance dose and stick with it.

Plus I don't use anything scented down there, but it is probably a coincidence that you have had a flare up.

Might also be due to water difference in the area where you are holidaying. I had no trouble at all with VA while I was living in Yorkshire, but whenever I came down to visit family in Wales, I'd have my first shower and it would start again. I was using all the same products and towels etc, so the only difference was the water!

Thanks for the replies. Will do the two week reload and won't make the mistake of using anything scented. Your replies are much appreciated.
