In a word - yes!

Obviously different women absorb the different products differently but even 1.0 mg estradiol from 1.0 g Sandrena gel is less than the standard (medium) dose of oestrogel ( 2 pumps = 1.5 mg estradiol), and Femoston is a medium dose tablet oestrogen. I would suggest that it is far too low and you should at least have Sandrena 1.0 and ideally 1.5 sachets of this - to give a medium dose of oestrogen.

Having said that I did get flushes in the first few days of changing over even from patch oestrogen to gel as my body got used to the different way of getting the estradiol. These then settled initially and then I just became generally hot - like I did before flushes started way back in peri-menopause. Even allowing for this in your case - it is still a very low dose.

What was the reason for giving you a reduced dose of oestrogen - ie was there a medical reason? If not then I would definitely double it, and see after a month or so. I gave it 5 weeks after changing to Sandrena and then went back to the patches I had been using.

Let us know what you decide and how you get on.

Hello

I would say yes.

I did a similar journey to you - went from Femoston 2/10 to Femseven to Sandrena 1.0mg.
I went back to the doctor and upped the dose. I now take 1.75mg.

I've been wondering how you were getting on with it Hurdity - now I know!

Thank you hurdity,I was on evorel conti, but had bleeding on and off in the third month, from what I have read I shouldn't have been on it anyway,as I'm 51 and still peri as far as I know,I asked the doctor for gel or patches and separate progesterone, but he said that was defeating the object,so i was sick of fighting him so I let him talk me into femoston. Anyway I got an emergency appointment on Monday because I was having hot flushes then chills, anxiety, some nausea and headaches, aches and pains in hands and legs, irritable and angry and sugar cravings like u wouldn't believe. She said we could change my hrt,I told her I didn't want anymore tablets, so she gave me sandrena gel and utovlan. I still have all the above and absolutely no energy which isn't good as I'm working all weekend.
