Hi chrissy99 I would say no to that,VA is caused by the membranes drying out because of lack of oestrogen.your gp is correct in saying that not having sex can make things worse as the sexual stimulation helps with blood flow internally and does help to keep things plumped up but we all know if your dry down there from va it's a horrible painful process so lubrication is an essential part of the sex process.best thing you can do is get some vagifem from gp and use an external lubricant along with it and do try the pelvic floor exercises as that will help with the support you need for all of your internal organs but not specifically va.hope this helps and ps if he's a looker pluck away

Hi chrissy99 - Vagifem and vaginal moisturisers will help and need to be used regularly and for the rest of you life. If you are getting UTI type symptoms (often without infection) then make sure you drink enough water each day  and cut out fruit juices, caffeine and alcohol as these are acidic and will cause the urethra to burn and give the UTI symptoms.
