Hello all desparate for help again.

Have been on Tibolene for 6 weeks.  Brill except for migraine like heads all the time.

Doc given me 1mg Estradiol ro start immediately.

Have already tried Estraderm patches 24mcg.  Only Used 1 and felt awful on it so removed straight away.

I am in a real dilemma as taking hrt to help with years of no sleeping and horrendous night sweats.  This has gone on for over 10 years by the time instarted HRT.

Please help.  Thanks.

Sorry to hear you are still feeling rough. Have you been given the oestrogen tablet to take along with the Tibolone and is this from GP? Also if you still have a uterus and are taking both I hope your GP will keep an eye on your uterus lining with that extra oestrogen, to monitor for thickening. If you have your uterus - maybe it's time for a different type of HRT - I see you've tried one but that was very low dose (25 mcg). You also need to give it (oestrogen) time to build up if you have had menopausal symptoms for many years and have had no periods for some years too? Dose can be inreased gradually. I can see that the last thing you want is to suffer with migraines all the time - so debilitating.

Hi Hurdity i had my last Tibolene last night and this morning (after badgering the doctor on the phone yesterday) asked for Oestragel which he gave me.  Have done 1 pump this morning feeling a bit spaced out.

My main problem is sleep deprivation which I've had for years and the Tibolene was brill formthat.

I now fear that Oestragel may not help me sleep I'll have to see.

I had a hysterectomy last July.

Thanks for replying.

How old are you and what was your menstrual cycle doing in the year or so leading up to your hysterectomy and also did you keep your ovaries? If you had these removed too then you will benefit from higher doses eventually and maybe teststerone. Even if you kept your ovaries, if you have been having peri-menopausal symptoms and cyclical changes ( irregular and missed periods) for some years then it may well be that your oestrogen levels are now on the decline so againa an increased dose may be needed.

Keep going with the gel and after a few weeks if no chnage then try increasing the dose.

Hope you begin to see the light soon :)
