weird feeling in head
« on: March 24, 2018, 08:09:49 PM »

Hi ladies, i haven't posted for a while as i felt i was coming out the other side of the menopause. Now 60 i thought at last, although i am still on HRT 1/2 patch Evoril Conti and was about to start coming off it, but started getting weird feelings in head again which was one of the first symptoms i experienced, although i have had it off and on over the last 7 years it was not as frequent until recently. Is there any ladies that have had similar happen to them, or is this how it is going to be from now on. :'(

Hi joe

I have also been on evorel conti  for 10 years came off it for a break after 5 years but I do.know you are suppose to come of it slowly say half a patch to start with for a good month then a quarter I know this is difficult but I didn't have weird feelings in my head I suffer from migraines anyway so I am probably not the right person to say anything but as your 60 I am 59 have you had your blood pressure checked recently just a thought it's difficult to say what's giving you the weird feelingss  do you mean light headed ness or dizzy or headache if you keep feeling this maybe check it out at doctors  it's not nice having weird head feelings and not k mowing what they are

Take care

How long have you been on half patch? Perhaps you need to go back to a full one.

The weird feeling I get is like pressure almost and you can't really think straight. Always have this when my progesterone is at its highest. I kept a diary it was every 4 weeks on the dot and lasted a few days. If you google oestregen cycle of a period and look at images you will see the pattern. Keep a diary so you can keep tabs on it and at least you know why you feel like that. There is always a reason!!! My ears ring too at this time it is rubbish but I know I come out the other side every time. It is a really tough journey but I tell myself I'm not prepared to give up on myself and I usually get through it for those days without too many tears!!!!!!!! X

A few months back I kept getting a pressure feeling across my forehead it's hard to describe but it was a weird feeling which I didn't like. I was getting it at certain times of the month and it would last a few days but it's gone now (touch wood!).

I actually wondered if it was down to the new glasses I had been prescribed!

You've no idea how happy you've made me saying that snoooze, sad I know but I'm waiting on the brain scan result coming back (I had bad head injury)and I've been so frantic because I hadn't come across anyone else saying that before so although I wouldnt ever wish bad on anyone I'm kind of relieved your agreeing with my description.I also got new varifocals but I honestly can't remember how long I've had this letterbox head feeling.good luck snoooze hopefully it's the glasses.xx

Glad it's made you feel better. The feeling has stopped for me now and that's why I think it was my glasses as he tried to get me to have varifocals but my near sightedness is not that bad yet but he told me I may have trouble at work looking at my pc which I did and even at home on my laptop it was a bit weird for a while but my eyes have obviously adapted now and the weird feeling has gone but I did hate it. It wouldn't be all the time, but when I got it, it would last a few days. I decided it was either my glasses or a sinus problem. Good luck with the results of your brain scan.
