Hi all
I am new to the forum and would appreciate people's advice.
I'm 50 and have been on Femoston 1/10 for a little over a year now.
I am not someone who usually likes to take meds of any kind, so was pleasantly surprised (and relieved!) to have taken to it really easily and had no particular side effects, apart from the odd month where my boobs and cramps are worse than usual.
I am perimenopausal and didn't suffer from hot flashes before I went on HRT, but had everything else, and felt utterly awful for around 6 years.
I don't feel fantastic like some women on HRT. It feels like it has 'taken the edge off' the symptoms, but I'm not full of the 'joys of spring'! However I am sure nothing will take all of the symptoms away, so will settle for how I feel now - just OK.
I have recently had chest pain, and started worrying that because I was taking oral HRT, I was going to get and embolism/clots on my lungs and started thinking about patches - Estradot and Utrogestan combo.
I know getting the right HRT can be so hit and miss, and am afraid to mess with something that is working fine. I am in a quandry about what to do..
I wondered if any of you ladies were in my position, would you stay on the Femoston or change to the patch/pill combination and risk upsetting your system...?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Many thanks!
