Teary today
« on: December 22, 2017, 03:20:28 PM »

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie so hoping for some advice. I've just started on Femseven sequi patches yesterday after being on Pempak C then Elleste Duet (1 then 2mg), don't know what I was expecting, but today I am so tearful. Is this normal after changing from tablets? Christmas & New Year aren't my favourite time of year anyway, but I feel like this year is going to be terrible. Please say it will get better soon? I just want to lock myself away til its all over :'(

Hello Cheryl53 and welcome to the forum.

I'm so sorry to read that you are feeling teary. Many ladies struggling with their hormones understand  completely.

I'm sure some of the experts  will be along soon to advise you about your HRT but don't despair, lots of us have felt as you do and it does get better.

Wishing you well and keep posting.

K.

Hi Chery! I can relate! Our hormones cause a lot of psychological and mental difficulties. I feel so sad some days, crying a lot and not recognizing myself. Others days I feel more quiet, more stable and optimistic. It's a period I think until our hormonal state stabilizes. 💐

Why you change your hrt? I think that when you find something you are ok with it why to change?

Hi Cheryl I'm also new and suffering. Been on HRT for 3 months but it's not working for me. I seem to have problems every 2 weeks out of my 4 but each month it's getting worse(18 months now!) I want to be referred. It's so hard but this time of year makes it worse. Hope we both get better in the New year x

Thanks for the replies . Well Christmas wasn't as bad as I thought, but had a melt down yesterday. Happy New Year eh? 😒
Emerald2017, I had to change my HRT in the beginning because it  was discontinued. I actually felt like myself again on that. Typical!
I've only been on my new patches 12 days so early days yet I suppose but my emotions are still all over, my temper can just flare within minutes and still no libido at all

Hi Cheryl53
I know how you feel, I'm either teary or irritable all the time. I just try and hold it in but that doesn't always work. I hate Christmas and New Year. I live abroad with a partner and teenage stepchildren who I want to KILL most of the time!  >:( My partner doesn't understand my complete lack of libido and I feel very isolated, with family far away in UK. So, you're not alone and we have to try and get through it. Good luck and hope the year improves for you! Spring is coming.... Jx

Thanks grumpyjane, I feel like I've wasted the first six days of this year. I've only been on these patches 16 days but don't feel like they're doing anything. I don't know if it's too early to go back to see my GP . Feeling so down 😞

Oh dear, I feel for you. You GP will probably say you have to stick with the patches for a while longer, but it depends on how sympathetic they are. My first GP visit was a disaster and I had to complain to the practice manager. I'm now using gel and oral progesterone, but don't feel it's helping the emotional symptoms. *sigh* Maybe make an appointment for a couple of weeks time then you will feel you've done something. x

grumpyjane, my GP is really good , she understood as i sat sobbing the first time I went to see her with my long list of symptoms (march 2017) I really hoped I'd by feeling a lot better by now, its my daughters engagement next weekend and I just feel like I'll either be spending it in tears or arguing with my husband 😞

Well, it's a happy day Cheryl53, and it's about her. Let's hope you'll be crying with joy! You could think about mentioning to your husband and at least making a pact for the occasion. My OH is away at the moment and tbh I feel happier and less stressed when he's not here  :-\
Hope you enjoy the celebration  :party09:

I did enjoy it grumpyjane thank you, didn't cry OR argue with my o/h 👍. Still don't think these new HRT patches are doing anything so definitely need to book in to see my go again
