Hi, could anyone tell me their experiences with this?  I'm finding it better than utrogestan for mood and tiredness but my hair is coming out a lot and I'm getting spotty.

Butterfly98 what are you taking instead.  Yes, I'm getting spots. My derm has said I need to get back on a level playing field. I was wondering if it settled, but seems to be getting worse

Katia - are you taking the Provera continuously? If so, perhaps move to a sequential regime so it has less effect on the skin.  If it's working in many other ways (I too found Utrogestan too problematic) then I would stick with it and it may well settle after time. I have always suffered with spots and I'm afraid I found any progesterone made me break out.  Tibolone was the worst for triggering the acne!! I think it is the testosterogenic effect of many progesterones that can cause spots and the only other progesterone you could try would be the one in Femoston but that doesn't come as a stand alone progesterone - Femoston is a combined HRT pill.

Any HRT will bring some side effects - it's about finding something with more benefits with the least side effects. DG x

Dancinggirl, I have never suffered from spots. the dermatologist has given me an antibiotic.  I'm hoping they clear up, but they seem to be appearing every day now.  My hair is the main concern, it's coming out terribly with provera.  I tried femoston but it blew me up like a balloon. I'm unsure if I still had some Utrogestan in my system and if it reacted with that, or with me. I do prefer the conjugated estrogens to estradiol. Angeliq with a bit of Premarin might be my next one. The British version has 4 times the P of the American one and that P did dry me out a bit with Yasmin.
